The Cedar Ridge Academy Boarding School Mission and Beliefs

What is the mission of our private boarding school?
At Cedar Ridge Academy Coed Boarding School in Utah, our mission is to provide a holistic educational environment in a private boarding school setting where high school students can accelerate their learning, achieve academic success, and actualize their inner potential.

What are the beliefs of our private boarding school?

We believe that:
         •   all students grow from being held accountable for their choices, both educationally and behaviorally.
         •   all students can develop appropriate attitudes and relationships to be productive citizens.
         •   all students have strengths on which to build success.
         •   personal success is achieved by nurturing the body, mind, and spirit.

Cedar Ridge Academy Boarding School Accreditation

Cedar Ridge Academy Coed Boarding School is an Accredited Utah Private High School
Cedar Ridge Academy Coed Boarding School in Utah is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission. Covering the region that includes Utah, NWAC accredits high schools that follow a specific and rigorous process of educational standards and improvement. As a requirement of our nationally recognized accreditation status, Cedar Ridge Academy Coed Boarding School is in the process of our second complete self-study, and we look forward to hosting a visiting team of professionals to our Utah campus this summer to review our progress and academic system.

For private high schools, accreditation by a nationally recognized accrediting body guarantees that credits are universally recognized and accepted by all other accredited high schools in the nation. Cedar Ridge Academy's credits maintain national and Utah State standards and will transfer to other schools, or will culminate in a college entrance diploma and official transcript upon high school graduation. For core curriculum content and graduation requirements, we follow the guidelines established by the Utah State Office of Education. As a private boarding high school, we also require certain credits beyond those established for Utah State graduation to add depth we believe is essential to meeting our mission.

What sets Cedar Ridge Academy Coed Boarding School apart from other boarding schools?
Cedar Ridge Academy Coed Boarding School is unique and effective in many ways. Set in serene rural Utah, Cedar Ridge Academy uses a flexible academic design that allows us to accommodate year-round open enrollment, and allows us to work with co-ed high school students in a range of skill levels while maintaining college prep academic rigor. Students earn high school credits as they complete and master subject-area content as well as employ effective learning strategies. As they gain mastery in content and learning, students have the opportunity to accelerate their high school credit accumulation.
